St. Christopher’s students had a work experience with a difference!
The school joined forces with, Teens and Toddlers and Little Stars Nursery at the Park to give the students the opportunity to mentor a child in nursery and support them. For the 10 youngsters it was a real challenge as they each supported their toddler though a range of Forest School and Allotment sessions – a big learning curve for the Year 9 students.
Together they made mud faces, discovered bugs and even helped conserve the forest area. The Toddlers loved the experience and the Teens had a double success of being awarded their Teens and Toddlers certificate and the John Muir Award for discovering, exploring and helping to conserve the Forest School at the Park.
