Each week this half term our Forest School leaders Kate, Stacey and Dion are walking two groups from Huncoat Primary School down to Spout House Community Woodland to enjoy a series of fun packed Forest School sessions!
Only two weeks in and Huncoats' Reception and Key Stage 2 classes have already enjoyed a whole host of exciting Forest School experiences and games including den building, bug hunting and dragon breath friendship bracelet making as well as being busy exploring all that this magical woodland has to offer.
Forest School experiences nurture children's all-round holistic development by giving them opportunities to practice their physical, social, emotional, language, spiritual and intellectual skills, building confidence, self esteem and resilience. The walk to and from school is an experience in itself, helping children to understand how to keep themselves healthy and safe.
Keep checking back for updates and more photographs as the fun continues!
